It was a beautiful day in Wyoming, and so I decided to drive a slightly more winding route to get to my destination in order to see more of the state. Once I was back on the interstate, I thought a few hours' nap at a rest area would do me good, so I pulled over at the Kaycee Rest Area, near mile marker 254 along I-25, and went to sleep... and woke up in a blizzard. This happened to me twice in Wyoming, by the way- on my way out, and on the way back. Beautiful spring days turned into dead-of-winter nights that shook my car and made me glad I'd brought extra layers.
